Where is the festival venue?
The festival is held all under one roof at the Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, MSIP on Baldovie Road, Dundee, DD48UQ.
How accessible is the festival?
Parking
Limited parking for Blue Badge holders is available directly next to the festival’s main entrance. Spaces can be booked in advance by emailing dundeedesignfestival@vandadundee.org
Level Access & Acoustics
Our festival venue is all on one level, with step-free access throughout. Due to the scale of our space, the acoustics are unusual and loud in places. Ear defenders are available at the welcome desk.
Space to Rest
We have created areas throughout the festival where you can stop and rest; our main stage area, the No Rules Wallpaper Garden Lounge, Silva Spoons Café and more!
Toilets
Mobile toilets are available at the entrance to the Dundee Design Festival building and outside Hall 2. It’s a 4 minute walk to The Innovation Hub, where you will find more toilets including accessible toilets and baby change facilities.
Captioning
Closed captions are available at all our main stage events, unless otherwise specified. These are yellow text on a black background.
Assistance Animals
You are welcome to bring guide dogs and other recognised assistance animals into the festival. Drinking bowls are available from our welcome desk.
Ramble Tags & Sensory Backpacks
A number of helpful items are available from the welcome desk including ear defenders, ramble tags, sensory backpacks, and worksheets. Ramble tags are lightweight harnesses, designed to be worn on the upper arm, or wrist of a guide, for assisted walking. We have both left and right handed options available. Please ask a Festival Volunteer for more information.
If you have any questions about your visit, please speak to one of our friendly Festival Volunteers. We hope you enjoy your time at Dundee Design Festival 2024!
How do I get to the festival venue?
MSIP is well served by a variety of transport links. One of the best ways to get to the festival is with our sustainable transport partner, Ember. You can take one of their electric buses from all stops on the Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Dundee routes right to the door of MSIP.
Remember that under 22s, students and over 60s travel for free!
There is parking on site as well as a dedicated area for Blue Badge holders.
What is MSIP?
The Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, or MSIP is Scotland’s home for sustainable innovation. How much does the festival cost?
Entry to the festival and all activities are free! Some activities will have limited numbers so you might want to book a free space.
There will be food and drink to buy and a design shop. The festival will be a cashless site with card payments only.
