Timorous Beasties and Hugo Macdonald: In Conversation

Talk

Thu 26 Sept, 3-3.40pm

Join us at the main stage for an insight into the practice of the internationally-acclaimed design studio Timorous Beasties. The Glasgow studio founded by Alistair McAulay and Paul Simmons in 1990 has just opened its fourth showroom and launched a new collection called Stucco. The brand is renowned for its maximalist designs which have appeared in such varied locations as the East Village apartment walls of actor Amy Sedaris, on a souvenir Kate Bush concert programme and on the front of a £50 note

Alistair McAulay will be joined by his colleague Dana Finnigan who is product lead at Timorous Beasties for a conversation with Hugo Macdonald, Global Design Director at Wallpaper and the co-founder of Bard, a gallery in Leith dedicated to Scottish design and craft that he runs with James Stevens.
